- Fancy colour diamonds come with natural colours other than white. These diamonds must not have gone through any colour treatments, heat treatments or irradiation to achieve such colourful effect. The rarity of fancy colour diamonds amazes all diamond lovers and alike - out of every 10,000 diamonds will there be only one diamond that can qualify as fancy colour diamond. Value of fancy colour diamonds has skyrocketed in recent years and is destined to go up further in years to come.
- When choosing fancy colour diamonds, factors that would normally be considered as key grading factors in colourless diamonds are not considered as important. The paramount factor is how intense the colour appears to the eyes. The more intense or saturated the colour is, the higher its value. Fancy colour diamonds' colour intensity can be divided into the following grades: Faint, very light, light, fancy light, fancy, fancy intense, fancy vivid and fancy deep.
